Across New York City, there’s a quiet but urgent crisis. Children are arriving in the U.S. alone, and are now racing against the clock to secure legal protection before they turn 21. Without it, they risk incarceration or deportation to countries that they've barely escaped. They come from all over the world, some walking thousands of miles. Some are orphans, some abandoned or abused, some are less than 15 years old. The best statistics indicate that hundreds of thousands of kids have immigrated to the US in the last few years. A grassroots network is stepping in to change that story. Volunteers, most of them everyday New Yorkers, are serving as “legal mentors” to guide these kids through the daunting immigration court system. The mentors serve as steady, trusted adults who walk with them into courtrooms, help them connect with pro bono lawyers, offer general life guidance, and basically make sure the kids aren’t left to navigate New York City and the system alone.
Who We Are
At NYC 4 All, we support immigrant and refugee youth with social support and legal services.
We are average New Yorkers, who find the treatment of our fellow neighbors by ICE immoral, illegal, appalling and outrageous. We want to do something about it, and we are stepping up where we can.
What We Do
Helping immigrant youth access social support and legal aid with care.

Legal Paperwork
We will train you how to help guide youth through their immigration paperwork with experienced support. Whether you speak another language or not there is plenty of front line or behind the scenes legal work to be done. No prior legal expertise required.
Mentor
Make a huge and positive difference in the life of a young person (here on their own) by helping them navigate the big city. Become part of their emotional and logistical support team by connecting them to social services, healthcare, English and GED classes, mentoring, and local resources.

Since February 2025, kids now have to pay a $250 application fee to apply for relief. We have a legal defense fund to help pay these fees. We need people to donate, assist with grant writing and fundraising. Donations are 100% tax deductible
